Ericka Dunlap is an ambitious, multi-talented and versatile young woman who is no stranger to hard work or perseverance.
She first rose to national acclaim when she was crowned Miss America 2004 on the historic runway in Atlantic City. But that wasn’t the first time she had made headlines. Mere months before, Ericka captured a part of history by breaking the color barrier and becoming the first Black Woman to be crowned Miss Florida in the history of Florida’s most prestigious pageant.
Following her Year of Service as Miss America, Ericka has enjoyed many years as a successful corporate speaker, diversity advocate and spokesperson delivering over 100 keynote addresses.
She recently joined the notoriety of reality TV stars, having been cast on the Emmy® Award-winning reality show “The Amazing Race 15.” Participating in this high-profile series which took her to eight countries in 21 days by traveling over 25,000 miles has made her an international television personality.
Ericka is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and is the founder of the Crown Jewel Foundation, an organization that invests in the lives of young women and encourages them to strive for excellence and overcome obstacles in achieving all their goals.
